The Hera Project was created as a work initiative entirely conducted in the field of neonatology, with a multidiscipline approach which involves and includes all agents acting in this area. Concerned for the health of preterm infants, Hera acts as a tool to improve the care of premature babies.
In this project that participating from his birth a scientific committee they are taking part neonatologist, nurses and psychologists of diverse hospitals of various hospitals throughout Spain.The Hera Project, that from his beginnings guaranteed by the company Abbott, was born as an initiative centers on parents and care providers of preterm infants with the sole purpose of contributing towards making the development of a preterm baby as similar as possible to that of a full term baby.
In this first year, everything has been easier thanks to all the work that the professionals who take part in Hera have been developing. Hera has been improving his present in the agendas of all those who take a part on this project. Thanks to I International Symposium about “Family centered and individualized developmental care in preterm infant”, the Hera Project generated a great opinions about it was done to improve the situation of the preterm infant.
Thanks to these Seminar and all those whom take a part of Hera, it has taken to go beyond the units of neonatology to reach the whole society. Thanks to the effort of all it is making possible that this project is every day a reality of all.
